Welcome to The Castle Doctrine!

Thank you for stopping by!

There are so many talking heads, commentators and YouTubers who have been telling us what is going on in our country and the world.
Wokeism, Open Borders, DEI, failing schools, “elite” universities that are nothing more than extremely expensive leftist indoctrination centers, the American family being intentionally torn apart, God, Christians and now Jews being targeted, and an economy that is increasingly leaving most of us behind. What we don’t hear is what are we to actually DO about it.

Welcome to the Castle Doctrine.

The Castle Doctrine was a principle following the adage, “a man’s home is his castle.” Meaning, worthy of defending; also meaning that we, the citizens of the United States, “We the People” have the inherent right to defend it, by whatever means necessary. That includes our home, our property, and our loved ones. By whatever means necessary.

We are defending our home. America is our home and it is under attack. This time, the threat is from within. We can’t trust anything. The media lies. Our food poisons us. Our doctors are only interested in selling drugs. Our government is destroying our country. The list is sadly endless.

Here at the Castle Doctrine, we are building a community. We are building a movement that is armed with the knowledge and the tools to engage and influence our community and start, one step at a time, to make one measurable positive change. We start in our living rooms, and our Town Hall, our county commissioners, and up and up until we create an movement that can no longer be ignored.

Get involved. Stop listening to the news and feeling helpless. Stop feeling ignored and with no value. Stop feeling like you can’t make a difference. You Can.

This won’t be easy. Nothing worthwhile ever is. This is our calling. This is our time. America’s Greatest Generation rose up from the small towns, factories and farms and saved the world.

It is your turn now. It is our turn now. Nothing less is at stake today than it was in their time. This will take work and dedication. You can do it. WE can do it. You are not alone.

We are The Castle Doctrine.

What’s it all about

Are you just as tired of standing on the sidelines and watching our country fall apart? Are you tired of being used and taken for granted by every single institution in America and feeling helpless to stop it?

Are you tired of not being able to trust anyone or anything? Are you tired of doubting the food at the supermarket? Are you tired of our entire medical system being much more concerned with selling drugs that we have to take every day for the rest of our lives than actually curing diseases?

Our schools indoctrinate and not teach. Our elected officials drive us to bankruptcy as a nation and impoverish our families. Crushing inflation and now our future is in doubt.

None of this is new. We’ve known this has been going on for years. The question is, what are we going to do about it?

That is what The Castle Doctrine is all about – Doing.

Be ready. This isn’t going to be easy. This is going to require action on your part. It is well past time to stop standing on the sidelines. Now is the time you have to step into the ring and take action. You. Take Action. Now.

Are you ready?

Joe Gilbert served in the US Army for a total of 24 years. This includes time spent in the Army Reserves, National Guard and active duty. Throughout his military career, Joe served as an enlisted soldier, a Non-commissioned officer and a commissioned officer.

He was an enlisted Combat Engineer, MOS 12B, for eight years (1985-1993). During that time he was with the 547th Combat Engineers in Darmstadt, Germany, 2nd Engineers Camp Castle, Korea and the 19th Engineers at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

He was selected for Officer Candidate School, Fort Benning, Georgia in 1993. After 14 grueling weeks, he graduated with honors as Distinguished Military Graduate and Distinguished Academic Graduate and commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Armor branch.

After earning his wings at Airborne school, he was posted with 2nd Battalion, 64th Armor, 3rd Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. There, he served as a tank platoon leader, tank company executive officer and assistant brigade logistics officer (S-4).

Following attendance at the Armor Officer Advance Course and the Military Intelligence Captain’s Career Course, he switched to Military Intelligence and served in various staff positions with 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry (2-14IN) 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, NY and XVIII Airborne Corps G2, Fort Bragg, NC.

After 9/11, he was chosen to command Headquarter and Headquarters Company, 203rd Military Intelligence Battalion (Technical Intelligence), Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

In the preparation for the invasion of Iraq in 2003, he was again chosen for company command. Given Joe’s extensive tactical experience, he was selected to command C Company (Reconnaissance), 203rd MI BN. He commanded the only Technical Intelligence company in the Iraq theater serving the Iraq Survey Group in the search for WMDs. In this role Joe commanded over 250 intelligence raids and reconnaissance missions without a single casualty and with no loss of American equipment resulting in the largest repatriation of enemy equipment and weapons since World War II.

Joe went back to Iraq for two more tours – 2005 and 2007, both with the 3rd Infantry Division. In 2005, he was the Chief of Intelligence Operations, Division Effects. In this role he served essentially as a free lance battlefield intelligence collector. Meeting with Iraqi tribal sheiks, religious and political leaders, as well as working behind the scenes with Iraqi police and Iraqi army units on the streets of Baghdad collecting information and disseminating intelligence that was not available from any other sources.

In his last tour, he was selected as Executive Officer, 1st Brigade Troops Battalion and Camp Manager of Camp Ramadi, Iraq and oversaw the transition of that turbulent city to Iraqi control.

Following his retirement in 2010, Joe served in various civilian positions including Director of Emergency Services, St. Lawrence County, NY and Town Manager of the Town of Hancock, MD.

He now resides in Maryland and enjoys beekeeping, riding his horses and sharing his knowledge and experience through The Castle Doctrine.
